Community Involvement

At FHS, we believe that good teams stick together and are passionate about supporting local Australian charities and community initiatives. In February 2008, FHS established the FHS in the Community Program and this web page is dedicated to our involvement within the wider community.

Refer to this web page for more information about the charities and initiatives we are involved in.

Unity Cup

Unity Cup

On Sunday 13 April, FHS proudly supported the Essendon Football Club and the Australian Federal Police for an event which represented Melbourne’s amazingly diverse culture.

More than 3000 people, from a range of backgrounds, attended the event organised by the AFP's Islamic Liaison Team in conjunction with the Essendon Football Club.

The massive attendance was in support of bringing about mutual understanding and respect between the Australian police and members of varying communities.

Held at Essendon’s Windy Hill training facility, former Essendon players together with members of the AFP, played against the Muslim youth team in the main event. FHS provided each member with custom-made club jumpers and are proud to be part of this outstanding event.
